Import contacts to SuperOffice

Oppdatert på 28. jun. 2021

An empty database won't help you manage your contacts, right? By importing your customer data all in one go using our import feature, you can quickly start managing customer relationships in SuperOffice.

Create an import file from an import template

To make it easier for you to import contacts, we have created an import template you can download. In this Excel spreadsheet, you'll find the basic data fields in columns, and all you have to do is copy your contact details into the right cells.

Using an import file is the best way to import all your contacts into SuperOffice.

Filling out the import template:

  1. Some fields in SuperOffice are mandatory. Please include the columns Category, Business, and Contact/company number in your import file.
  2. If you want to import several contacts from a company, add one row for each contact person and add the same company name to all the rows.

NOTE: The quality of the data you import determines the quality of your data in SuperOffice. We recommend that you go through and clean the import file before you start. Imports with huge amounts of data can be quite an exercise to clean up if things go wrong.

About import settings

Adjusting the import settings well will save you time and secure your data. Examples of what the system can do are many:

  • If you use a category in your import file that doesn’t exist in SuperOffice, you can choose to have the system create new categories automatically.
  • You can define what the system should do if you import contacts that already exist in SuperOffice. The system can overwrite or skip updating – it’s your choice.

NOTE: For larger and complex imports, we recommend using one of our skilled consultants to ensure that the quality of the data you put into SuperOffice will be at its best. Contact us >>
