Pre-installation task

Before installing 7.web you should prepare your servers.
With 7.web we have moved from Web Services Enhancements to Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). This means WCF must be installed on the same server as the Netserver webservices is installed.
Preparing IIS 2008 for NetServer webservices
- Make sure ”ASP.Net support” is installed in IIS. If not, go to the Control Panel -> Programs and click “Turn Windows features on or off”. Then go to the “Role” for IIS and install ASP.Net support using “Add Role Services”
- Also make sure you have installed “IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility” under “IIS 6 Management Compatibility” under “Management Tools”
- Plus any authentication methods that you wish to use. Please note that Forms authentication must not be used, we have made our own forms authentication.
We also require .Net framework 3.5 or higher installed.
